Good but the “f” word used too many times! Surely it’s past it’s sell by date. Can’t script writers find better alternatives.

This show really was something else! So different to any other show I’ve been to in London, but in a good way! So gripping to watch and for what could be a pretty difficult story to stage, the staging was fantastic. Seriously worth going to see.

Before I saw the show I could not imagine how they were going to construct the images. What a good job they made of the mountain. The tension built uip and uip and although one knew that Joe survived you were still feeling tense and wondering if he was going to make it.

Brilliant adaptation. Clever staging. Emotionally delivered. There were a some quite young children there and I think the language was a bit string for very young children.

Difficult start as the action was not visible from my upper circle seat. Greatly improved as action took place further back during climbing sections. Good use of sister to narrate!

Show was very good and an imaginative interpretation of a wonderful story.
However the music was a bit too loud, and prevented us hearing some of the words when it was thumping.
We were in the stalls, so not far away from the stage

Excellent telling of an amazing inspiring true story
23 January 2020
I already knew this climbing story and had seen the Joe Simpson documentary, Touching the Void. But this didn't detract from the sense of urgency and tension. I was so impressed by the imaginative way the play was presented, suggesting mountains, ridges, cold icy conditions, and blizzards. The acting was amazing, professional, moving. Loved the music choice too. I would highly recommend this to both regular and infrequent theatre-goers.
My one small criticism is that at times, when the blizzard was raging, and Richard was narrating what was happening, it was difficult to discern exactly what he was saying. The sounds drowned out his words.

22 January 2020
Excellent. The production was great,
Good acting, amazing 'mountain' scenery.
Only slight disappointment our seats (S5 and 6) were sold as unrestricted view and when they got near the top of the mountain they vanished from sight, so not quite what it said on the tin!

22 January 2020
our multigenerational group all loved the show. We left discussing it and the following day it was still a topic of conversation My 83 old mother couldn't believe the ending and my 17 year old commented on the quality of the acting and how she was moved to cry and could really hear the pain in the voices of the actors. The set was so clever and all in all it was a real experience. The link with the Samaritans was positive to see and the show really made you think about the power of the human spirit and resilience. i would strongly recommend this play

Surprisingly good
17 January 2020
Must admit I was a little cynical as to how this was going to work, and to be honest, in the first 10 mins I was little bit underwhelmed.
How wrong was I, stick with it, it is so good. The narrative is compelling, acting first class and total respect for what they achieved on a small stage with 4 x main actors.
