A truly great performance very suitable for adults and children alike. I took 3 children of 7, 5 and 3 and their parents. We all thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended

I didn't know the whole Snowman story and this wordless version featured more dancing than I expected but the auditorium packed with kids, including my 5 year old, obviously enjoyed it.

This show is a great introduction to the theatre for young children. Fun, sparkly and a feel good story. Well danced in the very restricted costumes. Thoroughly enjoyed.

A little strict steward

The snowman the show was amazing. Brilliant. So this review should not take anything away from the cast or production. However our experience was overshadowed by an over strict steward. I understand there are rules and we need to adhere to them but we were asked on two occasions throughout the performance to do 2 things that I simply did not understand why. I would've found it polite when being asked to do something you at least explain why, albeit it briefly. Firstly you asked my daughter to turn off their pretty lights. We purchased those lights from another theatre where lights/wands and audience participation were encouraged. Why is the peacock theatre any different where a performance aimed at children has to be done in complete darkness? The lights are harmless but again we were asked to turn them off and not sure why. For the comfort of other attendees, 5mins before the end my husband stood to the side of the stalls with our 1year old who was becoming restless. he was immediately asked to sit down. Again a room full of kids there are going to be unsettled chidlren so other theatres have allowed us to stand quietly to the side but the peacock would prefer to us to sit with a screaming child. Not normally one to moan, but felt like we were in school being watched and waiting to be told off. You need to remember if this is going to be a child friendly performance, with our 4 tickets costing over £210 you need to be considerate.

Erm what can I say...if you are two years of age you would enjoy this! Big fluffy characters leaping about the stage. Horribly overpriced children’s show. Would not go again.

The show is very simple and basic. Would be very good for a charity show. Far too expensive for the the fact of the performance. We paid £50 each ticket expected a great show for our 6 years old daughter. Unfortunately it became the most boring part of the Christmas activities. We think it was a joke for a £150 entertaining purchase! Really, this is kind of level of giving away for free to the public!

The venue was fine and we had a good view of the stage from our seats. Too many people mingling around and kids left to run about so access to the bar/toilets was compromised.
The actual performance itself was good-the dance routine when the boy and snowman met the rest of the snowmen went on a bit!
My children preferred the short film on tv to the show which was a shame.

Great show! Well presented! Went as a family and really enjoyed it. It became a little bit boring at the beginning as it is a silent show but after 10-15 mins caught your eyes and attention!

Watching my grandson’s reaction he was more amuse by Thriller than Snowman.
We were all at some point bored with the procedures on the stage!!!
The concept is good but the way it was acted was basic and unexciting really

We took our 6 year old Twins and 2 year old daughter and they all sat through the whole performance totally engaged and absolutely loving it! It was brilliant and I would love to take them to see this again and will be recommending The Snowman to family and friends!

We came to see The Snowman on the23rd of December and we were transported back to our childhood, it had humour, was heart warming, colourful with the most spectacular dancing! Our first ballet experience and me of my family of several decades of age group absolutely loved it! Stunning performance from all involved. Absolutely loved it, my two girls absolutely mesmerised. The flying brought tears to my eyes, took me back to my childhood. The ballet dancers were magical and extremely talented. One we’ll remember forever. I’m sure we’ll be back one day.
