Wasn’t sure what to expect, the theatre lends itself as it’s so intimate... the build up, overall story and then finale is to die for.... very very clever! A must anyone considering and not grotesque at all!

Jumped, screamed and was just amazed at how wonderful the acting and effects were, left the theatre heart still racing but smiling from ear to ear as to how they made us laugh be scared and make the most amazing things happen......

Ghost stories is a phenomenal piece of theatre. From the minute you enter the venue you get a sense of foreboding. To say anymore would give the game away but I was completely immersed from beginning to end...

We really enjoyed the performance and did have us jumping at various points. If you are fans of the old Hammer House of Horrer or Roald Dhals tales of the unexpected you’ll love this!

if you remember the portmanteau horror films of the 1970s and love hammer horror films and classic ghost stories then this is for you, its all done in the same spirit as those , even if you're not aware of these type of films and stories its still a great night out and its recommended to anyone who likes a bit of a scare and just a good evening out at the theatre , excellently staged , well acted and beautifully and atmosphericlly lit as well very very cool

First of all the staff in the ambassadors theatre - amazing! Via phone, face to face the works helpful polite kind and friendly. The show was brilliant we screamed, we jumped we laughed. Brilliant. A must see for anyone who seeks a thrill.

Unfortunately we were placed in seats that had reduced visibility. We were unable to see the top of the screen that was on stage. This was not made clear before purchasing. Full price paid. Although a member of staff approached a couple in front of us offering them seats nearer the front, the same courtesy wasn't offered to us. There were quiete a few empty seats in front. Presumably based on discrimination. Judging us on our skin colour. Discrimination is never acceptable..

We absolutely loved it!! Amazing acting and felt like we were hanging on the edge of our seats!! Lighting and sound effects were brilliant creating a scary and eerie atmosphere. Great value for money. Would highly recommend it.

Very atmospheric...created an air of disquiet, as soon as you took your seat...got goosebumps...made you jump in many places...and my daughter screamed at one point...thoroughly recommend. Great performances from all!

Slapstick comedy rather than scary. For the most part was fairly mundane. Several people walked out before the ending, only wish we'd done the same.

The first half consisted mainly of jump scares but as the show progressed, the complexity of the plot was revealed; the twist at the end was imaginative and unexpected, bringing together all of the previous acts.
The characters were well developed and performance in general was excellent. The stage sets and special effects were particularly well designed.
Overall a very enjoyable show although not quite as terrifying as promised. I would recommend.

I went to the play with a view of ‘how scary can a live play be?’ But clever lighting and sound ( sometimes overly grating sound) gives this play a spooky atmosphere from the beginning. If you’ve seen the film, you’ll know some of what to expect, but worth a visit..

Have to say this was poor, such a let down , thought it was meant to be scary, believe me if I could get a refund I would ask for one . Don’t waste your money on this very poor show!!

Length of show (90mins) did not justify the ticket price. Although all characters were well portrayed, the production seemed to be done on the cheap.
The ending was a good twist, the sound effects were a little too loud, which was chiefly what made you jump, rather than the cheap effects

Not what I was expecting at all ! Found it a bit long winded and boring didn’t make me jump at all and the stories was a bit bland and predictable.. wanted to get up and leave and when we thought it was half time it had actually finished . Very disappointed and very overpriced for what it was and for a beer and cider £14 absolutel joke that was the most scariest bit for me !

Brilliant show.
Having seen the film I had to revisit after seeing this performance and even made the film better.
The effects were very well done and the actors we spot on.
Nice to see Garry Cooper in a role as remember him from the vice.
Great to see the authors going back to the amicus era which were great films.
Need more of this in tv,cinema and stage.
Well done all involved.
Good to release a video of the show.
